QuikFire Electrical supplies and installs split system air conditioners across Perth, from single-room wall splits to multi-head systems. Every install includes a dedicated circuit from your switchboard with its own safety switch, mounting and commissioning of the unit, and a fixed price agreed in writing before we start, with no call-out fee.
Because we're electricians first, the wiring side is done properly — not subcontracted out. We check your switchboard can carry the new circuit before you buy, and if it needs work we quote that upfront as part of the same job.
What to sort out before you buy a split system
The unit is the easy part. Getting the size, the spot and the wiring right is what decides whether it actually keeps you comfortable.
The right size for the room
An undersized unit runs flat out and still can't keep up; oversized short-cycles and wastes power. We size to the room, ceiling height and sun exposure, not a guess.
Where the head and outdoor unit go
A back-to-back install (indoor and outdoor unit either side of the same wall) is the simplest and cheapest. Longer pipe runs are fine — we just price them honestly upfront.
Your switchboard's capacity
A split system needs its own circuit. We check your board can carry it safely before you spend a cent, and quote any upgrade as part of the same job.
Cooling only, or reverse cycle?
Reverse cycle heats in winter for a small price difference, and is one of the cheapest ways to heat a Perth home. Most people are glad they chose it.

A fixed price, agreed before we start
What a split system costs depends on the size of the unit, whether it's a straightforward back-to-back install or a longer pipe run, and whether your switchboard needs work to carry the new circuit. We assess it, quote a fixed price in writing, and there's no call-out fee. No surprises when the invoice lands.

Questions, answered
Can't see yours? Call 1300 843 063 and we'll talk it through.
How long does a split system installation take?
Most single-room, back-to-back installs are done in a single visit of around half a day. Longer pipe runs, double-storey homes or a switchboard upgrade can add time — your quote will tell you exactly what to expect.
What size air conditioner do I need?
As a rough guide, a small bedroom suits around 2.5kW and a large open-plan living area can need 7kW or more, but ceiling height, insulation and afternoon sun all shift it. We size it properly during the free assessment.
Is reverse cycle worth it over cooling-only?
Almost always. The price difference is small and reverse cycle is one of the most efficient ways to heat a home in winter, usually far cheaper to run than plug-in heaters.
Can you install a unit I've already bought?
Yes. Supply-only bargains are common online — we'll install it on a dedicated circuit and commission it properly. If the unit isn't right for the room, we'll tell you before it goes on the wall.
Do I need my switchboard upgraded for air conditioning?
Not usually, but a split system does need its own circuit, and older boards are sometimes already full or missing safety switches. We check yours as part of the quote and price any work upfront.
Do you service or re-gas existing systems?
Call us on the number above and we'll talk through what your system is doing — if it needs a specialist refrigeration repair rather than an electrical fix, we'll point you the right way instead of charging you to find out.
