QuikFire Electrical provides workplace test and tag services across Perth to AS/NZS 3760, the Australian standard for in-service electrical equipment testing. Typical intervals are 3-monthly on construction sites, 6-monthly in workshops and annually in offices. Every visit includes durable tags and a complete compliance register, priced as one fixed quote.
Every appliance gets a careful visual inspection followed by electrical testing with calibrated equipment, checking insulation, polarity and earth continuity. Items that pass are tagged with the test date and next due date; anything unsafe is tagged out immediately so your workplace stays protected.
When test & tag is due
Testing intervals depend on your environment. Rough guide below; we'll confirm your exact schedule when you call.
Construction and trade sites
High-risk environments generally need testing every 3 months. Tools cop a beating; tags keep them provably safe.
Workshops and factories
Heat, dust and heavy use typically call for 6-monthly testing of plant and portable equipment.
Offices and retail
Lower-risk environments usually test annually. Cheap insurance for staff safety and compliance.
New equipment arriving
New-to-service items need a visual check and tag before first use on many sites.
After repairs
Any repaired appliance must be retested before it goes back into service.
Audit or insurance renewal coming
An up-to-date test register is the first thing assessors ask for. Don't scramble; schedule it.

What is test and tag?
A visual inspection plus electrical testing of portable appliances, after which each item gets a tag showing its status, test date and next due date. It keeps your workplace compliant and your people safe.
How often do appliances need testing?
It depends on the environment: roughly every 3 months on construction sites, 6 months in workshops, and annually in offices. We'll confirm the right interval for your site.
What standard do you test to?
AS/NZS 3760, the Australian standard for in-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment.
What happens if something fails?
It's tagged out of service immediately and listed in your report. We can usually quote the repair or replacement on the spot so you're not left without gear.
Do you test RCDs too?
Yes. Portable and fixed RCD testing is part of the service where required, with trip times recorded in your register.
How much disruption should we expect?
Very little. We work area by area, swap between circuits to keep you running, and can schedule around shifts, opening hours or site inductions.
